False alarm — no tsunami warning in effect for Americn Samoa

Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — Please be advised that an unforeseen technical issue has caused the Aua tsunami siren to misfire or to sound off without being activated by the EOC.

We sincerely and humbly apologize for the major inconvenience this has caused the public especially those in the Aua and Fagaloa area.
