Fala o Futa" explores the origin of the Finemat

Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — The ASCC Students Association for Fa'a-Samoa (SAFF), in partnership with House of Flying Daggers, presented the play "Fala o Futa" at the ASCC Multipurpose Centre on February 27, 2025.

"Fala o Futa" explored the origin of the Finemat, an important cultural element in Samoan tradition. Through captivating storytelling and powerful performances, the play offered audiences an insightful look into the historical and cultural significance of this cherished symbol. The collaboration between SAFF and House of Flying Daggers successfully promoted cultural appreciation and unity, making the event a memorable celebration of Samoan identity.

The play was well attended by the public as well as Governor Pulaali'i Nikolao Pula and First Lady Lois Phillips-Pula, along with Fono Members, and the Cabinet.
