COVID count on Saturday raises cumulative total to 1,495 positives

Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — Dept. of Health statistics are showing that 82.1% of American Samoa’s total population is now fully vaccinated.

Latest posted count of new cases after testing on Saturday, March 19 brings the total of COVID cases as of that date to 1,495.  There were no new hospitalizations Saturday and no deaths, while A total of 216 individuals who tested positive have recovered. Eight COVID patients remained in the hospital on Saturday

Dept. of health recommends that you have a plan ready in case you test positive.  Prepare separate room, bedding and utensils and have enough supplies for two weeks — including food, toiletries and cleaning supplies. If you need to isolate make arrangements for someone to bring you good and other essentials in a non contact manner.

No village counts from Saturday were avilable this morning.

Sunday's count will be posted when it becomes available.
