CNA: “Caring is What We Do Best”

Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — On Wednesday afternoon, April 24, 2024, the American Samoa Community College- Nursing Department, Nurse Aide Program for Spring 2024 graduated 23 Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) during a certificate awards ceremony held at the Georgina Building- ASDOH Training Center. The ceremony was filled with family and friends cheering on the graduates.

Receiving their certificates, the 23 graduates can now begin a career in Nursing at entry level — working under the supervision of a RN or LPN to care for patients, at the LBJ or DoH.

The next level of the nursing program for the graduates, if they so chose to continue in the field, will be the licensed practical nurse (LPN/ LVN) program also offered at the ASCC- Nursing Dept.
