Batch #8 of American Samoa tax refunds released

Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — Another round of tax refund checks — Batch #8 — is expected to be released today, Monday, July 2, for those who filed between Feb. 15 and Mar. 6, according to ASG Acting Treasurer, Tina Va’a in a brief statement last Friday.

Today’s run totals over $2.50 million — with just over $1.02 million for local and more than $1.47 million for the Additional Child Tax Credit, which is funded by the US Internal Revenue Service.

To assist taxpayers with tracking refunds, Treasury reminds tax filers to keep in mind their filing dates, as refund checks are disbursed accordingly. Questions or additional information, contact the Tax Office at 633-4181.
