This initiative is part of a broader effort to strengthen the skills and knowledge of the ASVB staff and enhance the quality of tourism media and marketing services across the territory.
The training will be conducted by Mr. Robert Rickman, a distinguished expert in media and photography with over two decades of experience in the field.
Scheduled from Sept. 19th to the 23rd, 2024, the program will cover photography, video & audio, and editing tailored specifically for American Samoa and is essential for the growth and marketability of the local tourism sector.
“We are excited to build capacity within our ASVB team to be able to support our local tourism industry," said Taimalelagi Minnie Tuia, Director of the American Samoa Visitors Bureau.
"By working closely with the South Pacific Tourism Organization, we are committed to fostering a skilled workforce that can drive the growth of our tourism industry, ultimately benefiting our community and economy,” she stated.
