American Samoa Democratic Party highlights National Voter Registration Day

Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — The American Samoa Democratic Party joins communities across the United States in celebrating National Voter Registration Day today, September 16th by encouraging all eligible residents of American Samoa to register to vote during this week of action September 15 - 22nd.

“Every election is an opportunity for our community to make our voices heard. National Voter Registration Day is a reminder that democracy works best when more of us participate,” said Ti’a Reid, Chair of the American Samoa Democratic Party. “We encourage young voters, first-time voters, and all eligible residents to take this important step.”

The Democratic Party also reminds residents to check their voter registration status to ensure their information is up-to-date and voter identification is valid ahead of the 2026 elections.

Residents can register to vote by visiting the American Samoa Election Office in Tafuna.
