Ameko Pato funeral services scheduled for early Sept

Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — One of the items on the cabinet meeting agenda was the funeral services for American Samoa Environmental Protection Agency, executive director, Ameko Pato, who passed away Aug. 12.

The Governor’s Chief of Staff said that based on current information, the first service is planned for Sept. 5 at the Gov. H. Rex Lee Auditorium, while the funeral church service is set for Sept. 7 at the Fagatogo Catholic Church.

The times for each service will be provided soon by the family, said Fiu.

At the beginning of the cabinet meeting, Catholic deacon, Malaki Timu, a staffer with the Governor’s Office, offered prayers and condolences — on behalf of the Administration and Governor Lolo — to the grieving widow, ASCC president, Dr. Rosevonne Pato, the couple’s children, and the family.
