An apology has been issued by the local Director of Homeland Security to the public over the “confusion” concerning the evacuation of buildings near Port and the Airport. Only Port and the Airport were supposed to be evacuated. The Samoa News building was one of the buildings affected by the call for evacuation, as well as the Lumana’i Building, which also houses the US Postal Service. [photo: JF]
