People providing food for veterans

Honolulu, HAWAII — Working closely with the Matsunaga Veteran Affairs Beneficial Travel office, resources and training were launched for American Samoa’s veterans stranded in Hawai’i.

Many of them were standing at food banks and were referred to the Keiki to Kupuna Foundation, that provides weekly 5- 7 frozen meals, with milk, juice, fruits, bread and butter.

The program that provides these weekly meals in partnership with the Keiki to Kupuna Foundation joined forces with the City and the County of Honolulu Elderly Affairs Division and the Hawaii Public Health Institute.
