Earth Day often gets lost in Am Samoa among the excitement of Flag Day and Fautasi Five. That was not the case at Faleasao Elementary School in Manu’a where this year students and staff members went out for a village cleanup followed by coconut tree planting on the coastline. Those who grow up in Manu'a, experience first hand the harsh effects of global warming and the rise of sea level. These topics are among the concepts taught in Faleasao classrooms, to help raise awareness for a "GREENER" Earth. [Manu'atele Facebook]
