The gas-pump at one of the local gas stations early yesterday morning shows the retail price of unleaded gasoline at $5.13 per gallon. When asked, an attendant at the station told a Samoa News staffer that retail price for land diesel fuel is also over $5 per gallon. Retail prices — exceeding the $5 per gallon —  come after the new maximum allowable price or MAP went into effect on Apr. 15. (See yesterday’s Samoa News edition for details. [photo: FS]
