Peaceful protesters in Tafuna

Three protesters with signs protesting governer's checks to fono

This trio was among a small group of peaceful protestors at Nu’uuli/Airport road last Saturday morning (July 18th) calling the public’s attention to current dire needs for American Samoa that federal COVID-19 funds could be used for, instead of other purposes. The protestors held placards outlining their message to the territory’s leaders, and it comes amid many complaints over federal COVID-19 money that the governor gave to the Fono. [photo: FS]
