Department of Health filariasis campaign

A team from the Department of Health (DOH) visited the Samoa News office yesterday as part of the ongoing second round of mass distribution of filariasis pills, to protect local residents from lymphatic filariasis (elephantiasis). Over the past weeks, DOH teams have been everywhere —  schools, government buildings, and private businesses — making sure everyone takes their pills. [photo: B. Chen]
