2019 Fautasi Fiva winner

After 10 weeks of training, the crew of the Paepaeulupoo from Aua village propelled their long boat to victory in the 2019 Flag Day Fautasi Race.   However, at the meeting where Lt. Gov. Lemanu Peleti Mauga made the results final, many captains voiced the usual yearly opinion that the start was unfair.  Details on the race and its aftermath in Monday’s edition.
